What is Commercail Software?


Commercial software is computer software that is produced for sale or that serves commercial purposes. Commercial software is most often proprietary software, but most well known free software packages are commercial software, too. All or parts of software packages and services that support commerce are increasingly made available as free software, including products from RedHat, Apple Computer, Sun Microsystems, Google, and Microsoft Corporation. The Microsoft Corporation uses “commercial software”, rather than “proprietary software”, to describe their business model.

Difference among Business software,Sharing software and Free software:

Business software, copyright strict need to pay before they can be authorized within the scope of their mandate the use of better after-sales service to the majority of large-scale software;

Sharing software, copyright relatively loose, free to download and use, but restricted functionality, payment or authorization to use the full functionality;

Free software, copyright does not pay attention to, are free to use, without restriction, and even procedures can decompile, modify the program.
