The Role and Definition of Software Testing

What is software testing? It is a very impotrant step before the software is introduced. Software Testing is an empirical investigation conducted to provide stakeholders with information about the quality of the product or service under test[1], with respect to the context in which it is intended to operate. Software Testing also provides an objective, independent view of the software to allow the business to appreciate and understand the risks at implementation of the software. Test techniques include, but are not limited to, the process of executing a program or application with the intent of finding software bugs.

It was developed to help identify (beta or final version) computer software (in whole or in part) the correctnesscompleteness and quality of the software process; and it is an important sub-domain of SQA (software quality assurance). Software testing can assess whether the software product will be acceptable to its end users, its target audience, its purchasers, and other stakeholders, it is the process of attempting to make this assessment.
